Grand Master Camp

GRAND MASTER-LEVEL TRAINING SUMMER PROGRAM
The Grand Master-Level program will only be available at the Glen Rock location, and is designed to prepare students for competitions at the highest levels of chess.

DAILY SCHEDULE:
Morning/Day
9:00 Breakfast
9:30 – 12:30 Chess Instructions
12:30 – 1:00 Lunch
1:00 – 3:00 Tennis at racquet club
3:30 – 5:30 Chess Instructions / practice
Evening
6:00 – 7:30 Sports (SOCCER)
7:30 – 8:00 Showers
8:00 – 9:00 Dinner
9:00 – 10:00 Free Time
10:00PM Lights Out

REQUIREMENTS:
A USCF/FIDE Rating ≥ 1800 (Group 2) and ≥ 2000 (Group 1)

PRICING:
The cost is $700 per week for day campers if paid before April 1st. ($750 before May 1st; $800 regular.) Add an additional $400 per week for 'overnight'. Overnight campers must be picked up on Friday no later than 8 PM.

Grandmaster Joel Benjamin :
Joel Benjamin is an American Grandmaster, a 3-time US Champion, 6-time member of the Olympiad team, and was a double gold medallist at the 1993 World Team Championship. He played in 23 consecutive US Championships, an incredible record that will prove extremely difficult to beat.

Grandmaster Alex Stripunsky:
Alex Stripunsky is one of America’s top Grandmasters and frequent US Championship contender. His recent tournament victories include: Continental Open 2014 1st Place tie, Atlantic Open 2014 1st place tie, Manhattan Open 2014 champion. Alex is teaching Master Class at ICA. He is a co-founder of MidSouth Chess www.chesscamp.us
