Spring Camp (Teaneck)

ICA Spring Camp: Welcome children ages 6 to 16

• Flexibility: Choose from one-day to Five-day options
• Guaranteed 6:1 student – teacher ratio
• Not limited to chess: Afternoon programs include creative art projects, math enrichment exercises and challenging mind games

For over 20 years, our goal has been to foster an environment of learning and fun!

Sample Schedule

9:00 AM-9:50 AM: Chess Lesson (Part I: Puzzle/Concepts)

Coaches will guide students through a concept for the day, targeted toward a specific area of their games depending on their level. Puzzles and exercises will help cement knowledge.

9:50 AM-10:00 AM: Short Intermission
 
10:00 AM-11:00 AM: Chess Lesson (Part II: Analysis)

Coaches will analyze hand-picked chess games, from the students or other players, to illustrate common techniques and critical thinking patterns that are necessary for growth in chess.
 
11:15 AM-12:30 PM: Outside Sports

Weather permitting, our counselors will encourage campers to head outdoors for some supervised fun!  Our most popular pastimes include dodgeball, soccer and tag  

12:30 PM - 1 PM: Lunch (bring your own!) 

1:00 PM-3:00 PM: A camp-wide chess tournament separated by skill level. All levels participate!

3:00 PM-5:00 PM: Various activities including:
