New Year’s Blitz Tournament

The details are as follows:
The tournament will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday December 31st ONLINE (registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec 30). 

There will be three sections:

Open

1st Prize $200

2nd Prize $100

3rd Prize $60

Plus: TU2200,TU2000 & TU1800 $60 each

Entry fee: $30 (early bird expires on Dec 25th) $40 (if registering after Dec 25th)

1st Prize $200

Unrated section

1st Prize $60

2nd Prize $45

3rd Prize $30

Entry fee:  $15 (early bird expires on Dec 25th) $25 (if registering after Dec 25th)

Time control 5 min +2 (OPEN & U1600) and 5 min +0 (Unrated)

Prize fund is based on 40 entries (Open & U1600) but 70% is guaranteed.

**All players must join a Zoom call with a camera enabled during the tournament**

We are also looking to create a festive atmosphere so there will be PRIZES FOR BEST COSTUMES!!!!!! Either dress up to look your best or put on your “Halloween best” to help us ring in the new year.
