New Year's Blitz Tournament

The details are as follows:

The tournament will be held at 11 a.m. on TUESDAY, December 31st at ICA in Glen Rock. Registration (online and in person) closes at 10:00 am on the day of the tournament.

There will be three sections:

Open 7SS, G3+2

1st Prize $300

2nd Prize $200

3rd Prize $100

Plus: TU2200,TU2000 & TU1800 $60 each

Entry fee: $40 (early bird expires on Dec 25th) $50 (if registering after Dec 25th)

U1600 7SS G5,D0

1st Prize $200

2nd Prize $150

3rd Prize $100

Plus: TU1400, TU1200, TU1000, TU800, TU600 $60 each

Entry fee:  $40 (early bird expires on Dec 25th) $50 (if registering after Dec 25th)

Unrated section 5SS G5,D0

1st Prize Chess Book

2nd Prize Chess Set

3rd Prize Chess Set 

Entry fee:  $25 (early bird expires on Dec 25th) $35 (if registering after Dec 25th)

Time control 3 min +2 (OPEN ) and 5 min,D0 (U1600 & Unrated)

Prize fund is based on 50 entries (Open & U1600) but 70% is guarantee

We are also looking to create a festive atmosphere so there will be PRIZES FOR BEST COSTUMES!!!!!! Either dress up to look your best or put on your “Halloween best” to help us ring in the new year.
