This course is designed for the advanced study of math. It is based on the Challenging Word Problems 3 and Brain Math's 1, Homework is required.
The main concepts are listed below:
Number theory: Mental Calculations. Multiplication and Division Tricks. Partial Products. Finding equivalent fractions and comparing fractions
Geometry: Identifying Angles, Identifying Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Using Formula To Find Perimeter and Area relations, Measurements, Cuboids.
Art of problem solving methods: students learn various problem solving strategies and algorithms such as systematic listing, model approach, replace and restate with symbols in order to solve complex word problems involved with whole numbers as well as various measurements: money, weights, lengths capacity.
