Master Class with WGM Irina Levitina

Join Hall of Famer WGM Irina Levitina in our Master Class series at ICA. Irina 

Besides being one of the co-founders of ICA, GM Levitina has dominated in games of skill by conquering both the Chess world and the world of Bridge. 

In Chess, WGM Levitina was the Soviet Women's Champion four times, in 1971, 1978 (jointly), 1979, and 1981. In 1984 she was a World Championship Candidate before immigrating to the US in 1990 where she became the U.S. Women's Champion in 1991 (jointly), 1992, and 1993 (jointly). 

Her exploits in Bridge are just as impressive, having won five World Championship events, including playing on two world-champion USA women teams.

Class Description:

Standard middle game ideas. Tactical training. Basics of endgame.

Students have to bring the games from recent tournaments for in class analysis.

Requirements: A USCF/FIDE Rating of 1600, or higher.
