Master Class with GM Elshan Moradiabadi Summer Session 2024

In our first semester, we covered two significant pillars of chess thinking: evaluation and calculation. We encapsulated the essence of orders of the most efficient thinking—foremost evaluation and then calculation. Furthermore, we discussed the various calculation techniques and covered some essential parts, like prophylactic thinking. 

As we transition into this new semester, it's important for each of you to be prepared for the change in topics and focus. This readiness will ensure a smooth and productive learning experience. Our primary focus will be endgame strategy and imagination in the middle game. The aforementioned concepts will set the tone for us when we learn pawn structures in the following semester. 

Class concepts: 

1. Imagination I: Seeing the critical idea in a tactical position 
2. Imagination II: Creativity in tactical positions 
3. Imagination III: Evaluating while imagining the final position of your calculation 
4. Endgame Strategy I: Conversion of advantage
5. Endgame Strategy II: Neutralizing the opponent's advantage with material deficiency 
6. Endgame Strategy III: Correct assessment before entering an endgame
